This Gamay has vibrant aromas of red cherry and ripe raspberry, along with hints of black pepper and mixed spice. The palate is full of ripe and juicy fruit flavours which is complemented by its mouthwatering acidity and savoury finish. It is light to medium in body making this wine incredibly fresh and easy drinking.
Gamay is one of the most versatile red wines to pair with a variety of different food. It is light enough to pair with salmon, turkey and pork. It is also the perfect pizza wine and pairs well with a variety of different pasta dishes, cured meats and cheese.
Sourced from three separate small plantings of Gamay, the grapes were all hand picked and underwent a cold soak before a traditional red wine fermentation. Pressed straight to barrel for a short period before being blended. Aged for 6 months in Neutral Oak.
