This wine has integrated and expressive aromas of ripe blackberry and black cherry along with distinct notes of smoke, fresh pepper and mocha. It is fruit-forward and
juicy on the palate with exceptional balance and impressive structure. Present but well-integrated tannins with a rich mouthfeel and a long, savoury finish.
From a fantastic vintage in Niagara, this wine is sourced from three different vineyards and is comprised of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon and 48% Syrah. The wines are keptseparate in the winery until final barrel selection and blending. Each variety underwent a short cold soak, then an extended maceration. Aged in French Oak, the barrels for the final blend were selected after 14 months. Bottled without fining or filtration.
This is the quintessential BBQ wine and would pair perfectly with all the classics such as Pork Ribs, Burgers and Steak.
