This Gewürztraminer is done in a dry style with just a hint of sweetness. A perfect pairing for spicy dishes or just on its own as a great sipping wine.
Spice filled nose of ginger and cloves complimented with notes of orange marmalade and dried pineapple. Mid-weight on the palate with good richness and a slight oily quality on the finish.
Sourced from well-established vineyards throughout Niagara, each lot was vinified separately and assembled prior to bottling. The crushed grapes were cold-soaked with the juice to maximize the extraction of aroma compounds locked in the skins of the grapes. After pressing, the juice was fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel and kept on the fermentation lees with frequent stirring. Aged in stainless steel for four months on the lees before filtration and bottling.
