After a long hot dry summer (really long), it’s a relief for me to be greeted on fall mornings with cool crisp air. The colourful leaves herald the upcoming winter, and my thoughts turn to all things cozy. A favourite sweater, an intimate fire, and of course a luxurious and comforting bottle of red wine.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. It’s still the fall, and this being Canada; I want to hang onto the snowless season just a bit longer. For that, our 2011 Fielding Chardonnay will fit the bill just perfectly. It has a cozy yet bright personality with toasted nutty notes and lively tropical flavours, and when served cool, not cold, this wine pairs just perfectly with my Chicken & Chardonnay Mushroom Medley.
Let’s talk food & wine when you see me at the winery.
