This Muscat is expressive and open on the nose, filled with notes of peach, pink grapefruit, lime, flowers and white grape juice. It is fresh on the palate, light-bodied with cleansing acidity and a small amount of underlying sweetness for balance and richness.
This wine is very versatile with a variety of different food. It is light enough to pair with fresh and summery appetizers, salads and sides, but also works well with a variety of spicy cuisine such as Thai and Mexican food.
Picked early in October, when the Muscat character of the grapes was very expressive but the flavours in the grapes had not lost their vibrancy and fresh acidity. After a short soak with skins to extract flavours, clear juice was fermented slowly at cool temperatures in stainless steel. Taken off lees immediately following fermentation, the wine was stabilized, filtered and bottled in early 2020 to capture its freshness.
