One of our most popular red wines, the 2009 Red Conception is a unique blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, that integrate together harmoniously.
An excellent “food wine” that can easily be paired with any number of dishes.
The 2009 Red Conception is a unique blend of several vinifera varietals, crafted separately in small lots before assembled. The name was inspired by our Jack Rabbit Flats Vineyard, once a very popular 'parking' spot among locals. As it turns out, more than just great wine was conceived in our vineyards....
Each variety was vinified separately and aged for fourteen months in oak barrels from select coopers. The wines selected for the final blend were chosen for their approachability, focus on fruit-driven aromatics, soft tannins and a rich mouthfeel. After several blending trials of each of the barrels in our cellar, the individual barrels were selected for the final blend.
