Layered aromatics of toasted oak, white grapefruit, baked apple, fresh cream, and cantaloupe. Vanilla and cinnamon spices shine through on the palate, with a rich mouthfeel and good depth of flavours.
Split into two small lots after pressing off the juice: half of this wine was fermented cool in stainless steel to retain its fresh aromatics; the other half was fermented in a combination of new and older French oak barrels to add complexity.
