Light straw in color with brilliant clarity. Pure aromas of fresh green apple, lemon zest, mandarin orange, and mango. Bracing acidity on the palate with balanced sweetness, vibrant flavours, and a lengthy finish.
Combined from two low-yielding plots from our Estate Vineyards. Maturity in the grapes was defined by the flavours that we tasted, while trying to maintain the exceptional acidity that Riesling exhibits in Niagara. Hand-picked, sorted, whole cluster pressed, and cold settled for several days. Clarified juice was combined from the two blocks and fermented at cold temperatures for seven weeks, halted when the ideal sugar/acid/alcohol balance was reached to complement the flavour profile. Kept cool on its lees until March 2010, then cold stabilized, filtered and bottled

June 2010 – “The good folks at Fielding have done a super duper job with this Riesling. The pale colour leads into a bouquet of minerals, bergamot, lime and grapefruit. On the palate, peach and apples add more complexity. It is medium weight with lots of crisp acid and a great finale. Drink it now, to 2018.” Evan Saviolidis, wine writer
