The journey from vine to bottle is a long dedicated process. Everyone involved has a role to play and the team works toward producing high quality wines and exceeding the expectations of visitors. The team at Fielding Estate Winery, led by Curtis and Heidi Fielding, embraces these goals and strives to exceed expectations daily. As General Manager, Curtis oversees the day-to-day operations of the winery. Heidi leads the hospitality team, ensuring consistent and memorable experiences for each visitor, engaging them to return often and share their Fielding experience with friends and family.

Curtis and Heidi enjoy the variety of challenges that come their way each day. Trying new wines, forecasting the next harvest and chatting with guests about their Fielding Estate Winery experiences fuel their passion for their profession.

Curtis Fielding, General Manager

Curtis knows first-hand the importance of working as a team. Before joining Fielding Estate Winery, he raced high performance cars on the professional stock car circuit. He also spent several years working with winemakers in the vineyards of the peninsula. Curtis applies his education in business management and marketing to the winery’s operations and finances, constantly seeking ways to improve the wine and the Wine Lodge experience.

Heidi Fielding, Hospitality Manager

For Heidi, wine is a social event, a time to be spent with family and friends alongside good food and even better conversation. As Hospitality Manager, the Niagara native creates memorable experiences for every guest through the beauty of the winery as they explore our wines. Previously, Heidi worked as a legal assistant before her passion for wine led her to join the team that launched Jackson-Triggs Niagara Estate Winery as hospitality administrator. She continues to pour her heart and soul into her work at Fielding Estate Winery, achieving great satisfaction from knowing our guests return because they always have a great experience and feel connected to our wines and team.

Richie Roberts, Winemaker

Raised in Niagara, Richie is part of the new generation of winemakers – talented men and women willing to experiment and a little on the edge. After studying at Brock University’s prestigious Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute, where he earned numerous awards and scholarships, Richie spent four years crafting critically acclaimed wines with one of Niagara’s premium brands before joining Fielding Estate Winery to head up its winemaking team. Richie focuses on creating the best expression of a vintage that he can, extrapolating the unique characteristics of the Beamsville Bench terroir. Sometimes, the result is completely unexpected, yet, in typical Fielding fashion, extraordinary. Energetic and passionate about the winery and the wine industry, Richie is always ready to take on the challenges of a profession that’s continuously evolving. The quality of his wines comes from great skill and patience, and it’s his dedication to crafting wine that so many people respect and enjoy.
